Journals

I am a Managing Editor of the journal Combinatorics, Probability & Computing. If you want to get in touch with the editors of the journal, e.g., to submit a paper, please send email to: cpc@msci.memphis.edu.

I am also on the Editorial Board of the journal Order.

I am a member of the British Combinatorial Committee.

Research

Here is a pdf list of my academic publications.
Copies of my recent publications can be accessed via the CDAM Research Reports page.

My research is in the general area of Discrete Mathematics. Specifically, my current interests include:
(These headers will eventually all link to further pages with content and links. Probably. Sometime.)
Finite Partially Ordered Sets
Random Combinatorial Structures
Asymptotic Enumeration Problems
Graph Homomorphisms and Connections to Statistical Physics
Selected Applications

Courses Taught

In the academic year 2007/8, I will be teaching parts of each of the following courses:
MA103 Introduction to Abstract Mathematics (Michaelmas Term),
MA201 Further Mathematics (Linear Algebra) (Lent Term),

Othello

Othello is a boardgame I play seriously. I am a member of the committee of the British Othello Federation.
You can find many of my articles on Othello (including some written under various pseudonyms) in the back issues of the British Othello Newsletter. More recent articles will all end up on the web in some form and at some point.

Pictures

There are pictures of me lurking here and there. For instance here and there. Not to mention this somewhat more recent one, or this less recent one.
